Description
Sylvester Gift Wrap, 700mm x 500mm, printed on 115g silk paper. This design by Tom was inspired by a cat that adopted us when we lived in France. He was a magnificent animal with tufts of hair at the ends of his ears like a Lynx. He was large and feral and very much his own man who took a shine to our tortoiseshell tabby. We were the only humans he would let anywhere near him. He would wander off every night to do what butch cats do and be waiting at the kitchen door every morning at seven. He would walk in across the black and white tiled floor disappearing between the squares looking for his breakfast. Then, one day my wife took the two cats to the vets in the nearby town to have some injections. It was a big mistake. He freaked out at the sight of the traffic, tore his way out of the carrying basket and was last seen running up the railway track. We spent three weeks looking for him to no avail. His time with us was short but perhaps it was his time to go. We will never know.
