Description

Silk Square featuring ‘Birds of Paradise’ image from my Fantasia series of paintings. Each silk square measures 104cm x 104cm (41″ x  41″) and is printed on the finest quality silk with hand rolled edges. It can be worn as a scarf, as a wrap, sarong, used as a wall hanging or to make other articles of clothing or cushion covers etc. The design is taken from a series of graphic style paintings I created as a departure from my normal painting style and lends itself to a wide variety of applications. I have always enjoyed the idea of the applied arts which follows in the tradition of the artist as both painter and designer.
